To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Jaguar XJ-S, this cultural time line captures key moments in global history during the car's production run-from major world events, key milestones in Jaguars own history, political developments to iconic films. The songs and films highlighted were Number 1 in the UK Charts or highest grossing worldwide at significant points in the life of the XJ-S. This timeline offers a vibrant snapshot of the era through which the XJ-S journeyed, reinforcing its enduring place in automotive and cultural history.
